Band Camp

What to Bring
  • Water Bottle/Jug 
  • Sunscreen
  • Snacks
  • Lunch
  • Hat/Sunglasses
  • Instrument/Equipment (reeds, valve oil, drum sticks, drum pad, etc.)
  • Pencil

What to Wear
  • Band Practice Shirt
  • Athletic shorts (no jeans)
  • Sneakers/tennis shoes (no flip flops, Crocs, or slides)
  • Socks
  • Hat/Sunglasses highly recommended

What to Expect
Band camp is our first full band activity of the new school year.  At band camp, students will participate in morning outdoor rehearsals where they are learning marching fundamentals (and in the second week, learning our marching band show).
All students will be ready for pick-up by 4:35pm daily.
All students should be in place and ready for the first activity by 8:30am.
Lunch
OCPS will be providing free lunch for students at band camp.  All students are allowed to bring their lunch if they would like to do so.  All students will pick up the OCPS lunch (regardless of whether or not they are going to eat it) and if they choose to eat their own lunch, they can give us the OCPS lunch back and we will save it for other students to have snacks when needed.
School Instruments
If you require a school instrument and have not received it, please see Dr. Antmann.  Bring any materials/equipment (mouthpiece) you have for your instrument to the first day of camp.
Donations
We are asking for donations of granola bars, fruit snacks, and bottled water. These can be dropped off in the band room at any point during camp.

Premiere Show
On Friday, July 29 we will perform a premiere show in the stadium beginning at 7:00pm.  More information about how to enter, where to go, and seating will be sent out when we get closer to this date.
