Middle School Solo and Ensemble MPA
Student and Parent Information

Reminders for the day of Solo and Ensemble MPA:
  • Arrive 45 minutes to 1 hour before your performance.  Plan for traffic, especially on Friday.
  • When you arrive, find your performance room first, and then go to the warm up room.
  • Dress Nicely!  No jeans or sneakers.
  • After your performance, ratings will be available on the link by searching your entry number (six digit number found on the schedule next to your name).  The link will be posted here when made available to us.
  • You must have an original solo (or solo with the piano accompaniment) part for your judge with numbered measures.  If you are performing in an ensemble, you should produce an original score for your judge with numbered measures.  You will not be able to receive a rating for your performance without the original.  You will not be able to perform if the measures are not numbered; do not walk into the room without this complete.  If have questions about this, check with your band director.
  • Invite people to watch you!  Parents, family, and friends are allowed in the room, and video-taping/photography (no flash) is allowed at this particular performance.
  • If you are performing in an ensemble, everyone must attend.  You will not be able to perform for a rating without all members who were originally registered for that event present.
