We are excited to invite you and your child to be a part of the FHS band program! The Freedom High School Band is a nationally recognized, comprehensive music program which includes 200 students in grades 9 through 12. Course offerings include 3 concert bands, 3 jazz bands, percussion, and color guard. During the fall, all students are a part of the marching band, the Pride of the Patriots. The band program benefits from outstanding parent and administrative support. Emphasis is placed on the individual student musician, with the understanding that every student is important.
The Freedom High School band is an opportunity for you to continue to grow the musical skills you’ve learned in middle school. FHS band students participate in nearly every club and sport offered at our school. These students take AP courses and are among the highest academic performers in the school. We make every effort to work with our students to allow them to focus on their studies and participate in other activities in addition to band. We want every student to participate!
We encourage every one of our middle school band students to give high school band a try for one year! You have experiences and memories you will never forget, and will be a part of one of the largest communities on campus. Please check out this video with thoughts from some of our current students:

Also, Freedom High School has a comprehensive jazz band program, with 3 jazz band classes scheduled as part of the school day. Students who participate in jazz band take this as a second class in addition to their regular band class. If you are interested, or are considering this, you can note this on the form.
